Based in Odiham, Hampshire, The Frame is an art gallery that primarily showcases original artwork by local artists. We were asked to create a completely new website with a contemporary design, which promotes both the gallery and the framing aspect of the business.

The Frame first opened their doors in May 2009 and after a successful first year they have moved to larger premises at 81 High Street, Odiham, Hampshire. They wanted their website design to reflect their expanding business and provide an enticing invitation to clients to go and visit. As you would expect, to fully appreciate the artwork on display, you would have to visit the gallery and see for yourself, however we have created a very clean contemporary looking website design which allows the artwork shown to stand out and provides an informative & easily navigable overview of what The Frame has to offer.

Most of the artwork they showcase is by local artists and they wanted to be able to provide, and update, biographies of the artists featured in the gallery. They also wanted the ability to have the Artist of the Month change automatically on a monthly basis.

In addition The Frame also wanted to provide visitors with (and be able to update) their latest news and be able to update clients of special events they plan to host such as 'Meet the Artist'.

As well as the actual gallery, The Frame also provides a bespoke framing service. They can pretty much frame anything, if it doesn't move, they can frame it! They wanted their website to reflect this important aspect of their business too.
