The Littleton & Harestock Show is a popular Hampshire village 'flower' show that takes place annually on the first Saturday in September. We were approached to completely overhaul their old website, with a more modern look, whilst retaining a family, 'local' feel.

The Littleton & Harestock Show, located just outside Winchester in Hampshire, provides a fun afternoon out for the whole family whilst raising money for local charities and groups. From the 'flower show' competitions, to the craft tents, numerous stalls, bouncy castle & mega slide, kids football tournament, arena displays and WI Teas, the show attracts people of all ages and all walks of life. As it is not a business driven event it was important that the website design had a relaxed family feel, although the whole layout needed bringing right up to date to appeal to the broad range of users who are attracted to the show.

Although some attractions come back year after year, others come and go and therefore it was important for the show organisers to be able to update information about the upcoming attractions and exhibits as and when they are confirmed. They also wanted to be able to provide visitors with news about the show and the events surrounding it.

An important aspect of this Hampshire show is the horticultural 'flower show' competition. As well as the growers competitions (flowers, fruit, vegetables etc.) there are also competitions for photography, art, cookery, poetry and many more. And there are competitions for adults and children alike. Although a lot of fun, they do have to adhere to strict Horticultural Society rules! As such there are many competition 'classes' that can be entered, which are subject to changes, therefore the organisers needed this whole area of the website to be clearly navigable and easy for them to update.

The only thing we couldn't do for them was promise a dry day for this year's show. Good luck!
